Rolf Wirtz

Rolf Wirtz is a senior defence executive with deep expertise in electronic defence systems and technologies, naval systems, military aircraft and unmanned systems. After military service as airforce officer he continued his career at Airbus, where he served as Head of defence electronics and COO of military aircraft. He then became CEO of Atlas Elektronik, overseeing its global naval electronics and maritime systems portfolio.

Following this, he served as CEO of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS), guiding large-scale international submarine and naval shipbuilding programs. Wirtz brings decades of leadership across Europe’s most advanced defence and maritime industries.
